Kent Studio
Terms and conditions
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms explain how we work together: what you pay and when, what your care plan covers, and what happens to your website if you ever leave. We’ve kept them in plain English.
1 About these terms
These terms apply to every website and care plan provided by Kent Studio, which is run by Eric Kent, a web designer based in Larnaca, Cyprus. Kent Studio works with businesses, so these are business terms.
When you pay your deposit, you agree to these terms and to your quote. If your quote says something different from these terms, your quote wins.
2 Your quote
Your quote sets out your package, the pages and features included, and the price. Each package has a one-off build price plus a care plan, which every website needs because it pays for hosting. Bespoke websites are priced individually.
All prices are in euros. No VAT is charged.
3 Paying for your website
- A 50% deposit starts the work.
- The other 50% is paid once you’re happy with your website, before it goes live.
- Each invoice is due by the date shown on it.
If you cancel before your website goes live, your deposit isn’t refunded, because it covers design work we’ve already started.
4 What we need from you
To build your website we need your text, photos, logo, opening hours and any other details you’d like on it. If we’re waiting for something from you, the launch date moves back to match.
Please only send us material you have the right to use. You’re responsible for the accuracy of your content, such as prices and opening hours.
5 Changes before launch
Before your website goes live, you’ll see it and can ask for changes. Essential includes 1 round of changes, Signature 2 and Bespoke 3. A round means you send us everything you’d like changed in one list, and we make those changes.
Extra rounds, new pages and other bigger changes are charged as extra work. We’ll always tell you the price before starting.
6 Launch
Once the final payment is made, we connect your web address and make your website live. If anything isn’t working properly after launch, we’ll fix it at no cost.
7 Your care plan
Your care plan starts when your website goes live. It covers:
- hosting and web address renewals, so your website stays online;
- small updates each month, such as new prices, photos, opening hours or text (about 30 minutes a month);
- a monthly check, and replies within one working day.
Care plans run for a minimum of 12 months from launch. After that they continue month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. If you pay yearly, you get 2 months free.
If a care plan payment is late, we’ll send you a reminder. If it’s still unpaid 14 days after the due date, we may take your website offline until it’s paid. We’ll put it back online as soon as the payment arrives.
8 Who owns what
- Your web address is yours. If you end your care plan, we’ll move it to you free of charge.
- Your content, such as your text, photos and logo, always stays yours.
- Your website files are hosted and looked after by us while your care plan is active. If you end your care plan after the minimum 12 months, you can buy a copy of your website files for a one-off fee, which we’ll tell you before you decide, and host them elsewhere. If you don’t, your website goes offline when your care plan ends.
We may show your website in our portfolio and on our social media. If you’d rather we didn’t, just tell us.
9 What we can and can’t promise
We’ll build and look after your website with care and skill. We can’t guarantee a particular position in Google or a number of enquiries, because those depend on things outside our control.
Your website relies on outside services such as hosting providers and Google. We’re not responsible for their outages, but we’ll do our best to get things working again quickly.
Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
10 Your details
Our privacy notice explains how we use the details you share with us.
11 The law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Cyprus.
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page on the day you paid your deposit applies to your project.
